The Loop is Boss Design\u2019s circular program, a design ethos and service framework created to help furniture live longer, reduce waste, and support responsible whole-life carbon stewardship. Originally developed around seating and upholstered furniture, The Loop has been designed to make renewal as straightforward as possible to specify and deliver. The service is available for both Boss and non-Boss furniture, helping clients retain value, reduce replacement and extend the life of well-made products.<\/p>

For over four decades, upholstery craftsmanship has been at the core of Boss Design. It is how the business began, and remains one of the things we do best. The Loop builds on that heritage, applying the same level of care, detail and manufacturing expertise to furniture renewal as we do to new product creation.<\/p>

Repair, reupholster and refresh

ReNew is the first live service within The Loop program, restoring Boss furniture back to as-new condition through expert repair, reupholstery and renewal.Built around our upholstery heritage and delivered with trusted partners, the service extends product life while reducing unnecessary replacement and associated carbon impact. Products are assessed, refreshed and returned ready for their next phase of use, with the process designed to feel as simple and considered as specifying new furniture.Available for both Boss and selected non-Boss products, with pods, banquette seating and tables supported on a project basis.

Planned reuse and asset management

ReUse helps clients keep furniture in active use for longer through intelligent planning and ongoing asset management.As workplaces evolve, products may move between departments, floors or locations rather than being replaced unnecessarily. ReUse supports a more flexible approach to furniture ownership, helping clients retain value, reduce waste and maximise the lifespan of existing assets.The aim is to make long-term furniture planning more circular, adaptable and commercially efficient.

Buy-back and resale

ReSell is the buy-back and resale element of The Loop program, designed to give furniture a second life through Boss-managed redistribution.Selected products can be assessed, renewed where required and reintroduced into future projects, helping extend product life while reducing waste and embodied carbon. Unlike uncontrolled second-hand resale, ReSell is curated through The Loop framework, ensuring products are presented, restored and supported to a standard consistent with our Boss standards.

<\/strong>Social impact 

RePurpose redirects unwanted furniture towards meaningful next-use opportunities through ethical clearance, donation and social impact partnerships.Working with long-standing partners such as Waste to Wonder, furniture can be redeployed to charities, educational settings and community projects across the UK, Europe and Africa. Products that no longer suit one environment can continue delivering value in another. Where restoration is not viable, materials are responsibly separated and recycled as a final step.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

Responsible material recovery

ReCycle focuses on responsible end-of-life processing when a product or material can no longer remain in use.Components are separated where possible to maximise material recovery and reduce landfill impact. Metals, timber, plastics and upholstery materials are directed into appropriate recycling streams to support a more circular material lifecycle.ReCycle is considered the final pathway within The Loop, used only after opportunities for renewal, reuse, redistribution or repurposing have been explored.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t

Furniture should not be treated as a short-term purchase. In commercial interiors, products are often replaced because a scheme changes, a fabric is tired, or a workplace needs to evolve, not because the furniture has reached the end of its useful life.<\/p>\n

Too often, quality furniture is removed long before its performance has diminished, creating unnecessary waste, avoidable carbon impact and the loss of valuable materials.<\/p>\n

The Loop program challenges that pattern. It helps clients look beyond the first installation, considering how products can be repaired, reupholstered, renewed or responsibly processed over time.<\/p>\n

The objective is simple: keep well-made furniture in use for longer, without compromising quality, appearance or experience.<\/p>\n
